Arts Crafts and Living Life
I found a bunch of old wooden trays and boxes that I had put away and they needed some sprucing up.  I didn’t want to just add new stain so decided to paint them and add decoupaged pictures cut from old magazines and greeting cards.  Even old wooden bowls and plates made good backgrounds for decoupage.  Paint them first with whatever color you like and then start adding pictures.  I use regular Elmer’s white glue and once the picture is down put several coats of glue on top, let dry between each coat.  To seal it and make it water proof I use clear varnish or shellac for the last coat.
